2018 - 2019 AP Art Portfolio
In 2019, I made a series of paintings titled “Everything Out On The Table.” “Everything Out On The Table” explores my internal fears of putting my truest self out there. I took risks throughout this series as I explored unique surfaces to paint on and as I pushed myself to share more of myself with the world. This series helped me build thicker skin as I came to terms with the judgement artists are bound to receive as they develop throughout their creative journeys. Below my “Everything Out On The Table” Series you will find more pieces I included in my 2018-2019 AP Portfolio that assisted me in getting into the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
2017 - 2018 AP Art Portfolio
In 2018, I made a series of paintings titled "Up." The first few pieces of my series focused on the motion of moving up as that is a fear of mine as a person with sensory processing disorder, but my focus shifted to an abstract concept as I thought about a deeper meaning of “Up.” Hiding the meaning of “Up” towards the end of my series of paintings was important in flowing back into the reality of the world, where the average person hardly even notices anything going up. Below my “Up” Series you will find more pieces I included in my 2017-2018 AP Portfolio that assisted me in getting into the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
